I announced this on my metals account, but if you haven't gotten a chance to see, guys, I am actually doing a giveaway on my metals facebook page. So, if you're interested in participating, you can check it out right here! All you need to do in order to enter at minimum is like the post. Signal boosting, as always, is appreciate though!

Anyway, I'm back to my regular, irregular schedule of finishing this ungodly scythe. I finally finished painting it, so now it's just a matter of adding the eyes and it should be done and ready for Katsu! Awww yeah. Talk about the vacation I need.

Figured I might as well link everything here, too.

All that fun stuff aside, is anyone else going to Katsu? It just occurred to me to ask while I have been going all hardcore on my prop project and furiously finishing cosplays. Haha! But yeah, I was just curious! I won't be going as Xion this year for reasons, but I'll be around in several other cosplays including Maka Albarn (Soul Eater; and now with a new and improved scythe!), Haruhi Fujioka (Ouran High School Host Club), Yuzuki Seo (Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun!), and Tohsaka Rin (Fate/Unlimited Bladeworks).

That's actually pushed back all my metals projects, but that's okay. I have something exciting happening at the beginning of next month for that! Spoilers: It will be announced on its Facebook page, so watch out for that! That will rekick my metalwork back into gear. My shop will be open again after Katsu. I just want to make sure I get all my cosplay work done. And it kinda hasn't helped me that work has been stressing me out to high hell, so haha. There's that, too. 

I feel like I had more interesting things to say, but now I can't remember, so they probably weren't that important. fff... Happy last minute cosplay prep! ;D

Just messing around with a new palette for her since her old one was just ridiculously over-complicated and insane. Messed up on her hair, whoops. Also, back and forth about the black on her hands. ALSO. Considering lightening the red/brown fur to better contrast against the black. I think it's too dark. BUT HEY, LOOK. Something in color after ten thousand years. 

...I guess that also makes me free and that it's time to conquer Earth. Send some teenagers with attitude.

So, I decided to remake the scythe head since my last one was a bit too heavy for me. I'm considering selling it, but we'll see. In the meantime, here's a sneak peak of my new one. I was going to made it out of insulation foam, but while I was working on that version, it was unfortunately broken in multiple places due to carelessness on other people's parts. Since then, it's been too cold for epoxy resin to cure, so this version ended up being made from two pieces of cardboard wood glued together among other things.

At this point, I'm in the process of priming and then I'll be painting it. Hopefully, it'll be done and ready by Katsucon '15 where I'll be cosplaying Maka again as well as Seo from Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun and Haruhi from Ouran High School Host Club. I may also go as Tohsaka Rin from Fate/Unlimited Blade Works. We'll see.

Hahaha! It's good to hear from you, too! Sorry I totally vanished. Life's been pretty much eating me alive and I really haven't done anything artistically aside from a few crappy sketches until recently. I hope things are going well for you! I see you've been dorking around with cosplay, too.

Haha I've been good! Strayed away from Deviant Art and ART in general for a little while. I'm actually starting school soon so I'm kinda forcing myself back into the habbit. :D Anyway, good to talk to you again. How have you been doing?

I think it's good to take a break when you need it. <3; I've been doing that since I got out of school. 'cause, damn, my mind just melted from all the courses. I'm glad to hear you're at it again though.

Things have been a little chaotic but okay. Just life happening as it does. Work at a camp, am intent to get an internship, and roleplaying when I'm not being responsible. What have you been up to?
